“In the end, the government either serves the productive, patriotic, hardworking American citizen, or it serves those who break the laws, cheat the system, and seek power and profit at the expense of our nation.”
President Donald Trump
Jonathan M. Holliday: A Lifetime of Service
Proven Bravery and Experience
Jonathan didn’t start at the top; he started as a Private on the front lines. Over 24 years, he rose from an entry-level soldier to a high-ranking officer (Lieutenant Colonel).
• Combat Tested: He served as a Sniper Team Leader in Iraq, where he earned the Purple Heart (awarded for being wounded in combat) and the Combat Infantryman’s Badge.
• Elite Training: He is a graduate of the Army’s toughest schools, including Airborne (paratrooper) and Sniper School.
Global Leadership
As an officer in the Kentucky National Guard, Jonathan led large teams through complex missions both at home and abroad.
• Commanded Local Units: He led the Military Police unit in Harrodsburg for four years, overseeing and supporting security for major events like the Kentucky Derby and law enforcement at Fort Knox.
• International Security: He deployed to Afghanistan to lead police operations and drug suppression. He later worked at a U.S. Embassy in Africa and at the U.S. Army Central headquarters, focusing on antiterrorism and national security.
• High-Level Trust: He holds a Top-Secret Security Clearance, meaning the government trusts him with our nation’s most sensitive information.
Dedicated Law Enforcement Professional
Jonathan has spent his civilian career protecting Kentucky families.
• Lexington Police Veteran: He served as a police officer in Lexington for years, graduating at the top of his academy class. He worked in every setting—from city streets to rural farms.
• Highly Trained Constable: Elected in 2022, he is one of the few Constables in the state to meet the highest modern training standards. He is a certified SWAT operator and a Police K9 Trainer with his K9 partner, Hannibal.
Education and Family Values
Jonathan believes that a leader needs more than just a title; they need an education.
• Advanced Degrees: He holds two Master’s degrees, specializing in Security Management and Strategic Studies.
• Local Roots: Jonathan and his wife, Jessica, have lived on their Mercer County farm since 2011.
• Family First: Jessica is a public health expert who now focuses on homeschooling their three children: Justin, Joshua, and Katherine. They are lifelong Republicans who believe in service, family, and the Constitution.
Principles
American Sovereignty.
America, and the world, are at a time of incredible potential, and simultaneously, incredible danger. If the United States government represents the will of the people, America will prosper, and so will the world. America should not be subject to any authority above it, including the United Nations, the World Health Organizations, and World Bank.
Anticorruption.
I have no connection to any political figures. I have never met or donated to Mitch McConnell. I have donated to some Republicans but have always been disappointed in the end. I am not supported by any political action committee, and I do not want to be associated with them. I believe they are corrupting our political system. Only Americans should vote, and only voters should have input into our political system, including by monetary contributions.
Government Integrity.
The government and the people we elect should be honest. Voters cannot make informed decisions when the government is lying or withholding important information. The vast majority of information the government withholds from its citizens should be made public.
Limited Government.
Limited Government means greater freedom. The federal government needs to be trimmed significantly and thoughtfully. Our legislators have shirked their duty to legislate, and they have passed powers to unconstitutional regulatory agencies to avoid accountability and responsibility. To maintain this power, the government uses taxation. Over taxation has become a serious challenge to American prosperity and freedom. Excessive taxes have brought the United States to the verge of socialism by taking money from hardworking people, not using it for the common good, but rather enriching and supporting corruption and greed.
Efficient Government.
Senate rules need to be updated to make the senate effective and more efficient. The Judicial branch needs to be brought back to constitutional principles. The law should be reasonable and stable. Judges and prosecutors should be limited in their power, and they should be held accountable when they fail, like every other profession.
Law and Order
The American legal system has become corrupt and unstable. Americans are ruled by regulatory regimes at all levels that stifle individual liberty and innovation. Legal experts disagree on every topic, no matter how basic or substantial, but expect citizens to obey the most complex and draconian laws. The civil law system is abused to enrich those who manipulate it, not the people seeking reasonable redress for harms. Judges have no accountability to the people they serve. Lawyers, Prosecutors, and Judges feign nonpartisanship and objectivity where it is clearly absent. The law has become a weapon against the people to abuse and pilfer.
The United States Military.
The American military should be the best in the world, but it needs to make better investments and be a better steward of the American people’s money.
Religious Freedom.
I am a Protestant Christian, and I believe in religious freedom. The belief in a state religion is against my beliefs, but people should vote for candidates who share their religious views, or they won’t be represented in government. America would not exist without Christianity. The constitution of the United States is based upon Christian values. America is predominantly Christian, and if it loses this important characteristic, the constitution will fail.
Wealth.
I am not wealthy. I do not know any wealthy people. I have nothing against wealthy people, but I do not want to be ruled by them or the person with the most money. Success is more than wealth, and often wealthy people only want to make themselves wealthier by using the government.
Individualism
Individualism means personal responsibility and self-sufficiency. It means the government should not be the organization Americans look toward to solve all their problems. The free-market system enables the individual to not only have the resources to address their problems, but it also provides the incentives for business to provide those resources. The free market is millions of people making decision for themselves, and the government is a person in an office making decisions for millions of people. If Americans want their government to provide something, they should subsidize it. If they want to discourage some behaviors, they should tax it. The problem lies in that there is not enough money to subsidize everything that the people want and need. The free-market system allows people to make tradeoffs based upon their individual beliefs and perceived needs. The people we elect have ignored this and taxed and spent at unsustainable levels to distract from real solutions, enriching themselves in the process
Labor Unions.
I am neutral on unions. There are good unions and bad unions. People should have the right to join a union but should not be forced to join one as a condition of employment. They also not be forced to pay union dues. Forced union membership is against the right to free association.
Education.
Education is important to American Prosperity. Our educational institutions have atrophied. I homeschool my kids, but I am not against public education. Real school choice means that parents can homeschool, use religious based educational institutions, private schools, and public schools. The federal government should support education, not mandate.
Serial political candidates.
Holding political office should not be a primary career. Our leaders need experience in life, not just campaigning. Being famous and wealthy should not be prerequisites to holding high office.
Political Affiliation.
I am a Republican. I have always been a Republican. There are many decent Democrat voters, but they have the same problem many Republican voters have, their party and elected leaders do not represent them or their beliefs.
Morality
American domestic and foreign policies have lost much of its moral authority. Morality is an essential part of the culture that binds together a society and guides it toward prosperity. The essential origin of morality is the Christian bible. Christianity is the foundation of American prosperity. There is no other religion that aligns with American values and the principles that brought America to become the most prosperous nation on earth. There is also no other religion that enshrines the principle of religious freedom. While there should not be a national religion, ignoring the principles that brought America to prosperity because they are Christian will lead to ruin. All people have a religion, including atheists. The religion of secularism has degraded America, and it is quickly being replaced with religious influences that have demonstrably negative influences on other societies. Christianity has been systematically removed from influence in our society and government, and it has led America to a dangerous place.
Small Business
Small businesses are the heart of the American economy. Overregulation is not only a threat to small businesses, it is a threat to the economic prosperity of America.
